Castaway:Capones and Camara Island

If your looking for a clean white beach outside Manila, you should not forget to put Capones Island in your hot list. It is about a 5hours trip from Manila to San Antonio, Zambales. Going here is so easy. You can drive your own private vehicle or take a ride in a bus going to San Antonio, Zambales. And upon arriving at San Antonio you can hire a boat at Brgy. Pundaquit that will take you in this Island. This island lies almost 3kms. from the coastline of Pundaquit. And it will only takes you 20minutes to reach the beachfront by riding a motorboat.

To enjoy your stay here in San Antonio, most campers from Anawangin and Nagsasa Cove includes Capones Island in their itinerary. Island hopping in Capones and the nearby island, Camara, is truly an exciting experience.
Here are some of my shots along the way.

Capones Island is one of the main attraction in Pundaquit, Zambales. The shoreline is covered by off-white sands and pebbles that creates an enchanting transition as the water kisses the shore.

A Picture Paints a Thousand Words

The water is clean  and the clear blue sky reflects on the surface that gives a turquoise color and adds a panoramic view of the sea.

Habulin mo ko....
Sun bathing at Capones Island
sand bathing ehehe!
Walking along it's fine white sand will surely satisfied your day trip adventure in this secluded paradise. There is no resort nor inhabitants in this island, a very quiet place where you and nature alone. Cellular phones signal is available in this place, so you can easily contact your families or friends in case of emergency.

The Circles in Capones

Another attraction in this island is the old Spanish lighthouse located at the other side. But unfortunately we didn't visit the place. sayang naman...This is one of the reason why I need to go back in Capones. huh! kaya gusto kong bumalik ulit...

Side trip: Camara Island

The closest island in Pundaquit, Zambales is the Camara Island. This island is made up of rocks and fine white sands with some tropical trees growing through out. It offers a scenic spot for everyone who visit this place. Like Capones island, this place is located at the open sea of West Philippines Sea. During lowtide, white sands is very much visible than high tides. It is quite impressive to see this island emerging in this part of the sea.

Camara and Capones in One
The best time to go here is during early in the morning because the water is still calm and it becomes rough during afternoon.

Lagalag Reminders:
Trees are very minimal in this island, so don't forget to put a sunscreen protection to avoid sunburn. Also, you need to wear a sunglasses not only to enhance your look but also to protect your eyes from to much exposure from the sun. ehehe! Use your life vest every time you go swimming. Ikaw din baka matangay ka ng alon at pulutin ka na lang sa dalampasigan.
